A Case of 'C.S.A.'

For the channel surfing addicts ( CSAs), this goes out to you!

Many a times in life, we come across a moment, where the most calm of all the calms, the most balanced of all the balanced and the most indifferent of all indifferent wish that they had a remote control to have a certain aspect of the moment to be altered. This could vary from pitch, volume, zoom, a total change of channel or maybe even a complete shutdown.
Sometimes, it may happen that we may want to keep changing channels in Life, since nothing interesting seems to catch the attention of the preoccupied sub conscious mind. We keep switching channels, and nothing, not even any alteration, seems to make things better. Well, it is here, that some people choose to switch the television set and walk away, while the others keep switching, pausing, pondering in a rather disoriented but persistent manner, to continue on their quest for something worth viewing. It may sometimes seem that the channels are being repeated, but they still continue, bound to make it happen, and bound to find what they seek.
For these highly lovable and mighty Channel surfers, the prize soon arrives when the goal is met, after crossing that extra mile, which most had chosen to abandon, sometime in the past. Once the goal is met, it is sheer success in which the bravest of all braves, most energetic of all energetic and most pleasing of all the pleasing ones drown and enjoy a moment of glory and glee. The picture on screen seems to appear highly satisfying; the clouds of bleakness seem to clear out to give rise to a bright and shiny picture.
Then we come back to Life, back to reality, and put down the remote, for sometimes, we need to look closely and see that reel and real are different. The Moment spoken of before now makes no sense at all, and is perfectly nonsensical, if I may say so. What lies in there, right in front of us, may not be our first choice, may not be the one we hoped; wished or waited for, but sometimes, it is exactly what we need. We just don’t realise it since we are so caught up with being what we really are not, something which is not calm, not balanced and not indifferent.
Do we really want to be someone who we are not? We are each blessed with a unique quality and an exclusive personality, and if we believe we can defy it or change it, well then we must make peace with the fact that the others might do the same as well. Learn to respect yourself for the others to respect you just the same way, that’s all!
P.S.-  I’m a fellow C.S.A. myself, so peace out homies, we shall happily continue the addictive cycle.
